BILLING POLICY

Medical Speech Pathology - Swallow-Dysphagia Specialists

IMPORTANT!  Please note that as a specialized provider Coastal Speech and Swallow Center currently does not take insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, or other third-party insurance. Our services are billed upon scheduling. 

 

You may pay via credit card, debit card, PayPal, and/or HSA/FSA card. Payment is completed securely upon scheduling of services and evaluations through this website. We will provide you with a billing receipt and a coded services summary after your session via email so that you may submit it to your insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid for possible reimbursement. Coastal Speech and Swallow Center does not warrant reimbursement from your insurance.

 

Further, some insurance companies require a pre-authorized physician's order to receive insurance coverage and/or reimbursement for speech & language therapy. If you plan to seek reimbursement from your insurance company, it is your responsibility to obtain a physician's order prior to your therapy session. Please note - if you are planning on submitting your bill to your insurance company, you will need to verify with your insurance company to see if they reimburse teletherapy services. All services include initial evaluation and therapy as indicated. Therapy interventions entail a treatment plan, measurable and objective goals, patient-centered therapy sessions, and a progress report. All of the programs and interventions offered through the clinical SLP providers named on these pages are evidence-based practices in accordance with the American Speech and Hearing Association.
