Service Description

Initial Clinical Swallowing (dysphagia) Evaluation and Consultation. This 45-60 minute evaluation session allows the Speech Pathologist to evaluate your condition, discuss your symptoms, and prepare an effective treatment and therapy plan. By the end of the evaluation the patient will have recommendations for the safest diet texture, best practices, and compensatory strategies needed to eliminate the risk for choking and aspiration (food or liquid going into the lungs, sometimes resulting in pneumonia), and be ready to begin swallowing therapy.

Once you book your appointment you will be charged. There are no refunds.

Your appointment is billed and paid for upon booking your appointment. Due to the high demand of our services, we require a 24 hour notice if you need to cancel your appointment. IF YOU DO NOT provide 24 hour notice, you will need to rebook your appointment at the normal appointment rate and will have forfeited the original appointment fee. IF YOU DO give 24 hour notice, we will work to reschedule your appointment as quickly as possible. However, please be aware that we are sometimes booking weeks and months out so please try to keep your appointment to ensure you are getting the best care possible. Thank you.
